Founded by Don Aronow in the 1960s, Cigarette Racing Teams remains one of the most famous brand names in the performance boat building world, and is synonymous with the entire market segment. Cigarette boats continue to push the envelope in terms of innovation and design in the world of powerboats. From the 59' Tirranna center console beast powered by a whopping 6 outboard engines on her transom, to the sleek 42-foot Auroris and the blazing 515 and 50' Marauder SS (with 3,100 horsepower) go-fast boats, the company's line of vessels remain greatly coveted to this day.

While touring the factory we see the customizations that Cigarette allows their customers to make in detail - from color schemes to upholstery and features. In the design room they can spec out their future boat and build it just the way they want it. From there we had to check out Cigarette's busy CNC machinery as they fabricate the hulls and begin to build the pieces of the boats to put them together. Finally we visit the final stages of assembly a Cigarette boat and see some very unique paint jobs in the paint shop.

Cigarette Racing Team and their Cigarette go-fast boats have been a household name since the 1980s during the Miami Vice era, synonymous with the world of high performance powerboats. Owners of Cigarette boats throughout the years have included notable figures such as President George H.W. Bush, King Hussein of Jordan, King Juan Carlos of Spain, Princess Caroline of Monaco and many other famous celebrities. The brand is known as one of the undisputed king's of offshore powerboat racing and helped create what was referred to as "Thunderboat Row" back in the 1980s and into the 90s in Miami, Florida.
