The Twin Vee Boat Building Facility

Host Marilyn DeMartini explores how Twin Vee has been designing and building American-made catamaran boats for over 26 years, crafting vessels that are known for their safe, reliable twin-hull design that make for reliable, sturdy offshore fishing boats at an affordable price. She brings boats.com viewers along for a journey as the crew journeys through the brand's 7.5 acre facility, totaling 80,000 square feet. It is here in the homegrown American factory that this boat builder employs approximately 85 people full time in the boat building business.

A Dedicated Team Of Boat Builders

A highly-skilled team of mechanical and electrical engineers is hard at work within these walls, helping to design the future of boating. Although Twin Vee may look a lot different now than it did when it manufactured its first boat, one thing hasn't changed and that is the builder's dedication to creating the best marine experience for its customers by continually innovating and building upon the boat designs of the past.

Boat Building Ethos

The fiberglass for Twin Vee boats is manufactured 100% in-house. What isn't built in-house, is painstakingly sourced to find the highest quality vendors and suppliers available for components such as mechanicals, pumps, motors, fasteners and stainless hardware. The company has created a dedicated electric boat division named Twin Vee Electric that is now solely focused on building next generation electric power catamarans. The prototype and debut model is the new 2021 Twin Vee 240 CC Electric center console power catamaran, powered by Twin Vee's proprietary propulsion system with lithium-ion powered electric outdrives.

Going Electric! Twin Vee Leading They Way Into Electric Propulsion

In addition to building electric powercats, the company is designing and manufacturing their own electric propulsion systems (for use on their entire electric line) which will be available to other builders for use on their boats as well, through the "Electra Power Sports" name. The first product is the brand new Electra 215HP electric outboard motor, which marks the first ever electric outboard for the company.

The aim of Twin Vee Electra and Electra Power Sports is to promote 100% electric, clean on-water adventures and enable boaters experience the power of sustainable boating.
