We recently got a chance to take out the all-new Wellcraft 402 Fisherman with 1,700 horsepower provided by quad Yamaha XTO's. Ready to take a look at this boat? Check out our walk-through video with Lenny Rudow below, then we'll go through some of the boats key features in more detail.

As you can see from the video above, the 402 Fisherman is a luxurious and comfortable center console fishing boat that stands out for a number of reasons. The first, and most obvious is its large casting area behind the helm that is available with several different options for layout, seating and entertainment centers.

Another standout feature is the significant tackle storage and that comes standard, along with sturdy T-top pipework and integrated rod holders. These fishing amenities will make it a great choice for even serious anglers chasing the catch of the day.

Going down below, the center console cabin is an unexpected treat. Whereas many fishing boats (especially center consoles of this size) skimp out on the cabin, this vessel does not and ends up finding a happy medium. It features a collapsible table that can turn into a double berth along with a fully-enclosed, stand up head. These are creature comforts that will make long days out on the water comfortable not just for fishing but also family recreation.

A big, wide-open casting deck in the bow actually turns into a raised cocktail table at the touch of a button and has comfortable lounge seating all around.

If you're ready for a 40 foot, quad-engine, center console fishing boat capable of long offshore fishing days but still comfortable enough for the whole family, than you may want to take a look at the Wellcraft 402 Fisherman.
