Description

Up for Sale is a 2008 Macgregor 26M motor-sailor sailboat with a 2009 60 HP Evinrude E-TEC outboard motor. This is the sought-after 26' trailerable sailboat, American-built in Costa Mesa by Roger McGregor, that gives you the flexibility to motor-around or put up the sails as conditions, or your desire, sees fit! She spent most of her life out of the water and on a trailer. This boat is easily trailered by a 1/2 ton truck because of they way it's designed. Once in the water, you open a valve and flood a set of ballasts that hold about 1100lbs of water. You then deploy the centerboard and you've got an effective sailboat. When you pull it out of the water, you stow the centerboard, release the water, stow the mast, and trailering is as easy as any pleasure boat. The boat has two rudders on either side of the center-mounted outboard motor. If all you want to do is motor-around, just douse the sails, bring up the rudders, keep a little centerboard deployed, and you're ready to move around at quite a brisk pace.

The boat is in good condition, and comes with the following:
2 Main sails for standard deploying
1 Mainsail and custom boom for roller-deploying the main
1 Spinnaker
1 120% genoa sail, with roller furler
1 Dometic SaniPottie 975MSD Toilet with MSD Fittings
1 Magma Marine grill

It also comes with a Zodiac Cadet Fastroller 285, 9.4' Dinghy:

(no motor included with the dinghy)

There are plenty of extra parts that come with it as well, including a roller-furling boom for the mainsail - not set up at the moment. I've purchased all the pieces and parts for a wheel-controlled Raymarine Smart Pilot SPX-5 with ST6002 controller Autopilot system. It's ready for installation.

It comes with a 2 axle trailer that just had the entire surge brake system replaced including a new braking axle and hubs. I just gave it brand new tires and rims last month. It also comes with a Fulton Marine Swing-Away tongue to decrease the storage profile by at least two feet.
