Hanse Varianta 18: First Look Video

The Varianta 18 is a sporty-looking daysailer that also can be used for semi-spartan overnight cruising. Built by well-known German sailboat manufacturer Hanse, the Varianta 18 has both shoal and standard keel options and even a sprit on the bow for asymmetric downwind sailing.

We liked the fact that all sheets and control lines were within easy reach in the cockpit. And an open design down below means you can customize it yourself with gear such as a portable cook top, or extend your overnight capabilities by adding a portable toilet.
