Saloon

True to the genuine ‘‘deck saloon concept’’, the saloon is on one single level and offers great panoramic sea views. Located in the gangway to port, the galley enjoys a great number of storage cabinets and all the comfort necessary to long journeys. The waxed teak used on all Wauquiez remains the dominant interior feature, while other materials (leather, stainless steel) give the Pilot Saloon 48 her thoroughly refined and modern style.

SALOON (headroom: 2,00 m / 6’7”)

• Single level saloon with panoramic vision either standing or seated, at the dining table or at the chart table.

• Large engine room and technical compartment below saloon with hinges and levers on floorboards.

Comfort and Space

The owner’s aft cabin is large, with great storage space, its ensuite bathroom features a separate shower. Two guest cabins forward have all the comfort worthy of the greatest yachts. A bathroom is located near the 2 guests cabins. Both bathrooms (the owner‘s and the guests’) are equipped with a white-coloured stone resin vanity top, which underlines the contemporary spirit of the yacht’s interior design.

Deck

The sleek lines of the roof emphasize the yacht’s thoroughbred style. The uncluttered deck offers great visibility forward thanks to the flush deck hatches and the control lines lead aft to the cockpit. The cockpit is practical, safe and comfortable : the helm station is equipped with all necessary assistance for single-handed sailing (oversized winches placed at the helm station, an optional self-tacking track can be integrated). The transom opens up as a bathing platform and enables easy access to the tender garage.

Hull

Construction

• GRP / Balsa sandwich hull built with the infusion process, for an optimum resin / fibre ratio.

• Hull protected by the use of bisphenolic resin on the external layers of the sandwich. • One-piece composite structure integrating lateral and longitudinal reinforcements glassed and bonded to the bottom, spreading the rig and appendages efforts throughout the hull.

Inside Accommodations

I• The interior woodwork is built in teak and beeswaxed. The floorboard is made in laminate wengé. The deck is doubled with a GRP liner. The hull liner is covered by vinyl.

• For an outstanding comfort mattresses are made of memory of form foam and cushions of double density foam. All berths are equipped with a slatted base and lee cloths and have cold molded teak fiddles around the beddings.

CABINS AFT OF SALOON (headroom: 1,90 m / 6’3” - 1,80 m / 5’11” (under bridge deck)) Choice of 2 alternative layouts:

a) Owner’s aft cabin (standard version)

• Large lit hanging locker to port and storage alongside the hull. Centreline bed (2,05 x 1,60 m). Bed tilts up on gas springs to allow access to storage under. Vanity to starboard with table and mirror. Numerous lockers and storage spaces.
