So we have owned it for 12 years with the issue. We had multiple mechanics inspect the boat to ensure nothing was wrong with the engine, and a few months ago we even turned the CPU into a professional to do dialysis on it, and they inspected and then reset the CPU to clear any programming issues, but the CPU still has the issues sometimes. What happens is when at a high speed, the CPU sometimes throws a code and puts the boating into what is called “limp mode.” This gently slows down the boat and then we have to clear the code (press the button to clear) in order to get cruising again. Since the engine has been thoroughly inspected multiple times and we have NEVER in 11 years had any mechanical issues with the boat, we have figured that there was just some anomaly issue with the CPU that is putting the boat in limp mode even though there is no mechanical reason for it. Therefore, I would think worst case (if you do want to ever have to deal with it), you can just replace the CPU. This does not happen enough to us to where we felt it necessary to replace the CPU, after 11 years of owning the boat and this happening every once in a while, we were not too bothered by it.
